Florida Jones is a woman who thought she knew her worth and had her future laid out before her. That is, until she stupidly drives off in anger and looses her sight due to a nasty accident. Now Florida not only has to deal with learning to live in a virtually sightless world, but also deal with her daughter’s rebellion, her fiancé’s lack of everything emotional, and her mother’s return.

An unlikely yet well deserving hero emerges, Stan Davis, Florida’s ex-lover and the father of her little girl Missouri. When Florida and Stan had been together, he and she both had been in the wring and his wife then had paid dearly for it. Stan though was forced to change his ways when he married Serena and she died a slow and painful death from cancer.

Stan and Florida have had a mixed past to say the least but now when she needs him the most, Stan proves that anyone and everyone can change. Tamara, Florida’s mother, is the only one left with the time and life to help Florida after her accident, but can and will Florida forgive or at least put aside her anger and let Tamara help? Will Missouri pay the cost for Florida’s stubborn streak? Can anyone really change enough to the put the past behind them?

Ms. Corgait is a talented author and weaves a wonderful tale. Her heroes and heroines drive you insane, make you cry, and laugh, from one page to the next. If you want to read the story of one woman, one family striving to reach the light at the end of a very long and dark tunnel, then you have to read TAKE ME HOME.
