And if he can, will he be able to keep her from escaping him again?
Dee, also known as Delores Ellison, and she really originates from Earth. About a year ago, she found herself transported to this desolate place called Dementia. She has been able to escape enslavement for the past year. It now looks like her time is up. Will Dee be able to escape him again? Or will she finally find herself in her very own nightmare as a slave to a gorilla?
Dee currently finds herself being chased through the jungle. She realizes she knows who is actually chasing her and it frightens her. As she is being stung in the thigh, she instinctively screams and is immediately thrown to the ground. Oh no, what will happen now? Will Dee be able to escape again or will her hunter find her and enslave her?
This definitely deserves 5 unbelievable Enchantments. This is the first novella I read by Ms. Black, and I have to say that this was a great story. Please don’t be fooled by its length. The rhythm of the story was fast paced and adventurous. “Dementia” is the perfect length for a quick and short diversion from reality for one night. It will transport you to another world and soften your heart to a strong and possessive alpha-male. As short as this story is, the details are wonderful. Ms. Black is able to paint a wonderful picture in the imaginations of her readers and make that personal connection that can transport the reader to a whole new universe.
Jaid Black has been writing for several years and has a great collection of books written. Whether you like futuristic, time travel, Vikings, suspense, action-filled, or a sexual fantasy played out, you will be able to find all of those with this one special author. When Riana faces him through the bars, begging to be let in, he cannot refuse. While she realizes she must go through with the inevitable physical relationship, she is surprised by the actual pleasure and passion she feels for him.
Riana and Cain’s relationship is one of few words, but of great emotion. Cain is very driven and focused on finding an escape route. Riana is not sure of Cain’s feelings for her, though she knows she is growing to care for him. Riana is scared that when he does escape, he will not take her with.
I could not put this book down. It was as if something grabbed me and made me sit and finish the book in one afternoon. Ms. Adams had my undivided attention as I followed her characters, Cain and Riana. I was skeptical at first, but she gave such depth to Cain and Riana, that while the setting primarily took place in their cell, I just HAD to continue reading to see what their plan was to escape, and how their relationship developed. The chemistry between them was so hot and all-consuming, I think my pages began to smolder.

Two people are drawn together by circumstances neither can control and kept together by feelings they cannot deny. This is a very turbulent time in both of their lives - full of hate, betrayal, and deception, but most of all love. And in the end, only that will save them.
I really loved this story because it was like the ones I read as a teenager. It had handsome knights and lovely ladies. But it was a little different because the hero was a man of the cloth who was the one falling in love and the knight was the bad guy. The hero was very mysterious and kept you guessing. I was really able to get behind the heroine and root for her. All in all, a very intriguing story that I think the reader will enjoy.

HOT TARGET is good and the imagination and skills of the author are there, but after experiencing the first in this series, I found this one lacking. I only hope that there is a third and it takes up the fast and sensual pace of the first.

She dreams of a man who makes her feel beautiful in spite of the scars. Too bad she has to wake up to the reality that no one could be attracted to her anymore.
Thantos is a plastic surgeon who admires Ari's courage and personality. Her inner beauty calls to him, while her outer beauty is not diminished because of the scars marring her skin. Thantos desires to give Ari her self-confidence back. He plans to wine, dine and charm her. Thantos has a secret - he is the Greek God of Healing that visited Ari in her dreams when she fell asleep in his temple. So making her feel beautiful should be simple for him, right?
I had high expectations after reading the book blurb. Unfortunately, they were not met; I even re-read the story a few weeks later to see if it was my mood, but still had the same lack-luster reaction. While this book has moments of wonderful prose and tender scenes between the two characters, I felt that the story would have benefited more if Thantos had been just a 'mere' mortal, instead of a God. That part of the story fell flat for me. The premise of the plot had lots of potential, but in the end, the delivery ended up as just average. It was not bad, but nothing stood out as exceptional or 'got under my skin'.
The characters themselves are the saving grace in this story, having been fleshed out very well with a nice balance of harmony and challenges. I am giving this story 4 Enchantments because it was well-written, original, and the characters had nice depth. UNDER HER SKIN is a comfortable, sweet read, although the f-word is used frequently (in the context of the sex scenes).

The storyline is original and well put together. If you are looking for a light-hearted, cute story, this book is a nice way to pass the time.

This year is different. Dorian has been seen, but sadly, no one can see Rory. They struggle to find out what has changed. Why can’t anyone see Rory? They fear they may be separated for eternity.
During this search Rory and Dorian discover they were not wed before their demise. This is what has caused them not being able to go into the light, their unfinished business.
Now they must find someone who can see Rory. They must get married, therefore completing all business and allowing them to cross over.
When I really like a book, the words for a review just flow out. Sadly, this was not such a book. It wasn’t a bad story. I just felt that Ms. St. Croix rushed through the writing. I could not believe in the characters and was not drawn into their story. There was not enough depth for me.
I would have found it much more interesting if Rory and Dorian’s unfinished business had been to expose their murderer or even to stop the building of a mall where their house once stood. Not having crossed over because they did not complete their marriage ceremony, saddened rather than intrigued me. She did bring Philip to admit his love to Valerie, but I could not appreciate their storyline. I also felt bad for Ms. Delores, Rory’s best friend in life, because Rory never seemed to acknowledged her in the story, while Ms. Delores has tried for two decades to see them.
It seemed that Ms. St. Croix spent a lot of time creating detailed sex scenes, but the same amount of time was not devoted to the plot, which I thought was thin.

If I had to summarize this book in one word, it would be breathtaking! Simply ‘divine’! I couldn’t resist the pun, but all jokes aside, this is one read you definitely want to get your hands on. I rooted for Lucy from the moment she appears, and I fell all the way in love with Patrick. Not to mention the delightful inclusion of Patrick’s eccentric mother and his oh-so-proper British butler. The sex was sizzling, but what really carries this book is Ms. Garnier’s delightful writing voice. Humor woven with perfect characterization and descriptive scenes kept this reader enthralled, and I bet they will keep all readers as spellbound.
Ms. Garnier, if I could give you more than 5 Enchantments, I would have. Ms. Garnier is a lover of life and its pleasures. Sex is definitely on the list. However, her passion lately veers more towards the imaginary worlds she creates with her strong, chauvinistic heroes and just as strong, sassy heroines. If I had to summarize this book in one word, it would be breathtaking! Simply ‘divine’! I couldn’t resist the pun, but all jokes aside, this is one read you definitely want to get your hands on. I rooted for Lucy from the moment she appears, and I fell all the way in love with Patrick. Not to mention the delightful inclusion of Patrick’s eccentric mother and his oh-so-proper British butler. The sex was sizzling, but what really carries this book is Ms. Garnier’s delightful writing voice. Humor woven with perfect characterization and descriptive scenes kept this reader enthralled, and I bet they will keep all readers as spellbound.
Ms. Garnier, if I could give you more than 5 Enchantments, I would have. Ms. Garnier is a lover of life and its pleasures. Sex is definitely on the list. However, her passion lately veers more towards the imaginary worlds she creates with her strong, chauvinistic heroes and just as strong, sassy heroines. I appreciated the struggle Carrie went through trying to fight her attraction to Justin, and the tenderness Justin displayed while dominating Carrie. Justin’s idea of domination had me squirming (but in a good way - wink!). The sparks flew from the first page and didn’t let up! I loved every second of it! Warning for the faint of heart, there is bondage, light spanking, and anal sex in this novella.
