Lillith Tunnock is a soul collector graced by Danu. She claims the dying for Danu while Anton puts them out of their misery. Anton, vampire sanctioned by The Divine One, had evolved over the years. Unlike some vampires, he was able to eat and drink as a normal person did.
Morgan, another vampire of Danu's, lost his love but has always cared for Lillith, and with the help of his friends is beginning to overcome his grief. As Lillith and Anton find the dying and release them into the care of Danu, another menace is haunting the streets of New Orleans. As Lillith, Anton and Morgan try to find and defeat the monster, two friends of Anton and Lillith seem to have gone over to the dark side.
Though the story had a great beginning and the end leaving you with closure, the middle seemed to muddle through. The plot concept however is wonderful and the reference to vampires being more than simply evil was a lovely change.
