When she finally learns that Brandon is truly a nice guy and lets her guard down, they get together, date, and after she overcomes some of her fears, he asks her to marry him.

Cute! Cute! Cute! This is a darling sensuous love story where two single neighbors who have admired each other from a distance for some time, finally come together. I completely enjoyed the relationship evolvement in this story, it was totally believable, and when Brandon dressed as a highland laird, complete with white billowy shirt and kilt, comes knocking at Gen’s door equipped with a picnic basket, full of traditional Scottish foods, I cracked up. He was just trying to fulfill one of Gen’s fantasies from the latest romance novel she had written, and which he had purchased, to better understand her. The scenario was completely believable as well as darling. This is a cute story and well worth the read, this is a keeper; I will definitely read it again.

They, however, cannot act on their desires because he is her dead husband’s cousin, also because her reputation has already been tarnished by her stolen journal. In order for her niece to marry a man of consequence, her family has to have a good reputation, and a public affair between Amelia and Grayson would damage her chances.
I really loved the second book. It was a great mixture of scandal, romantic tension, and sexual interludes. I loved the tension between Amelia and Grayson. I kept hoping for them to finally forget their obligations and reservations and just go for it. It was unresolved sexual tension to the tenth degree. My favorite part of Book 2 is Amelia’s encounter Lachlan McGregor, the stable keeper who Amelia had a fling with when she was younger and rekindles her flame when she becomes a widow. I loved his initial rejection of Amelia and the almost power struggle between them because it reminds me of the tension that exists in novels like Wuthering Heights where there is a huge class difference between the lovers. I became really curious about him. He was that rough and abrasive character that I love. He kind of reminded me a bit of Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights because he was poor and down on his luck. I hope he returns to the story somehow. I almost like him better than Grayson because he has so much depth to him. I also like it much more when my heroes in novels are rougher around the edges. I can’t wait to see what happens in Book 3.

SECRETS VOLUME 22: DARK WHISPERS is a great continuation of this series of anthologies. Although I struggled to get through the first story the final three were more than worth the effort. This is a group of stories that portray the strong independent woman beautifully. BREATHLESS by Ms. Carrington was one of the best paranormals that I have read in a long time and I sincerely hope that there are more from her to find. I have enjoyed several of Ms. Fox’s stories and MIDNIGHT RENDEZVOUS was no exception. But BIRTHDAY WISH by Ms. Adams was by far the best story in the anthology for me. The sexual chemistry between characters was erotic and captivating. The lust pulled you in, but it was the development of deeper emotions that kept you there, eagerly turning the pages to see what was next. Red Sage Publishing definitely has a winner with the SECRETS anthologies. Each new volume offers something for everyone and this reader is rarely disappointed. So believe me when I say that you can’t fail with any of these exciting volumes!

I thoroughly enjoyed this collection of stories. Comprised of a variety of stories it is sure to please readers. I must admit that my favorite story was CAGED WOLF by Ms. Eden. It is the first of her series that I have read but you can be sure that I will be eagerly searching for all of the others. And Ms. St. James has just found a spot on my must have list. SECRETS VOLUME 21: PRIMAL HEAT is worth every penny of its price. It definitely left me eager for the next volume.

I especially enjoyed the last two books in the anthology STASIS by Ms. Wynfield and A WOMAN'S PLEASURE by Ms. Featherstone. However, I can honestly say that a reader will not be disappointed with any of the titles included in this volume of erotic delight.

The SECRETS VOLUME 19: TIMELESS PASSIONS anthology has something for everyone that is guaranteed to please. AFFLICTION by Ms. Adams is a wonderful paranormal story that shows that we can’t always chose who we fall in love with. TOYS IN THE ATTIC by Ms. Ferare makes you wonder just what that statue you admire so much is really modeled after and WHAT YOU WISH FOR by Ms. Walker gives us all hope that our erotic dreams have the potential to come true.

But my favorite story was FALLING STARS by Ms. Scott. This proved to be the clincher for me and even if the rest of the stories hadn’t proven as good as they are I would have recommended this anthology simply for this story. It is a brilliant sci-fi story that draws you in from start to finish and makes you want to read it all over again. I loved the emotional pulls of the hero and heroine. Ms. Scott made me understand and relate to both of them and the obstacles that lay in the path of their relationship. All together this is one anthology that is a must read.
