What can I say that could possibly do the justice to this book it deserves? Well written, no mistakes. It gives you chills as well as passion. I was glued to the book from the time I started reading until I finished it in two days. The alpha female, Shannon, is strong. She’s got so much heart you can feel her essence even after you put the book down. Nikolai is strong, sexy, and dominate. He’s a vampire with wolf blood and determined to make headstrong Shannon not only his mate, but make her fall in love with him too. I loved the interplay between all of the characters. Shannon and her stubborn brother, Rory face off in challenge after challenge.
I have loved a lot of female characters. Shannon is my favorite. Her headstrong ways remind me so much of myself. Nikolai represents the kind of man every woman dreams of. The story itself left me wishing and at times holding my breath. I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. Shannon’s ways kept me laughing all through this wonderful book. This is a sequel to 'True Mates' also by Ms. Wynn. The ending leaves you breathless and also leaves room for her third book in the series.
Ms. Wynn is the mother of three (four, if you count Lady, her family dog) and grandmother of two, when not busy with family or church, she can most likely be found in front of the computer writing or escaping into a book. She loves to read. She loves books that can take her out of her ordinary life into an extraordinary reality. She doesn’t just read. She becomes. To her, a really well written book is like a mini-vacation, without all of the hassle. Her greatest hope is that after reading one of her stories, you'll feel the same.

You cried when they did and were happy when they were. Ms Lory has a way with the written word that makes you unable to pull yourself away. Ms Lory’s stories have a magical quality about them and I only hope she continues writing for many years to come.

A really likeable story. More than likeable, actually. It had an intensity about it that was unlike a lot of books you read. You could get behind the characters and feel for them. I liked the fact that the characters never let go of their resolve no matter the cost. They followed through with what they set out to do. I liked the way the story just flowed along. The characters were a joy to read about. You want the story to keep going and continue on.
This author has a flair for the paranormal that I hope never ends. I will be looking up other books this author has written.

Though the story had a great beginning and the end leaving you with closure, the middle seemed to muddle through. The plot concept however is wonderful and the reference to vampires being more than simply evil was a lovely change.

You feel her desires along with her conflicts thoroughly and completely. Rachel is a Lana-zeel, the female of the Amon-Kai race. She is a savvy lawyer and on her way down the aisle when her long lost adopted brother returns. They have been apart for seventeen years now but the bonds formed so long ago have not forgotten.
Richard Kemet, a male Amon-Kai or Lanor-zur, has faced his own trials throughout their separation, but not even the monster he becomes is harder to deal with than convincing Rachel that they were never brother and sister, but a mated pair.
Ms. Anderson is an extremely talented author, and though I found the revelations into the past events that either did or didn’t take place hard to wrap around, she is worth looking up and reading. The repeated references to Richard and Rachel being adopted brother and sister took away from the actual story and should not have been focused on so much, never giving the reader a chance to focus on the changing factors of the story. However the characters from Rachel and Richard to Charles, her fiancé, and Genevieve, her friend, are very real to the reader and bring a nice element to the plot.

Tom, on occasion, acted like an uptight ass (his mother's words, not mine), but was very sweet and respectful to his mom even when she was the catalyst to his arresting Daisy. He struggled to merge the two separate sides of himself (upholder of the law versus personal beliefs), although his wilder side appeals more to Daisy and this particular reader. Daisy is a great character - full of liberal zest and seemingly uncaring of her reputation, yet the hints of hurt feelings and vulnerability she shows keep you rooting for her.
