Jinissa is in transport to the king after being accused of witchcraft. The man leading the way hates the Calavrians with a passion because of a Calavrian girl from his past - one who had him beaten for her own sins.

Though he tries to remember to stay angry, Stephan can’t help but fall under the spell of his charge. She defies the image of the evil witch, and instead proves to him that she only has the desire to use her gifts for the right reasons.

Jinissa has her own shameful secret to keep from the king, one that could threaten her country, her life and her newfound love with Stephen.

I was impressed with this book. While it seems to plod along in the beginning, it quickly picks up the pace and sweeps you over the edge. The emotions brought forth here, from the tenderness between Jinissa and Stephan, to the frustrations of their situations, are amazing. It’s incredibly real!

My only issue with this work is that the end felt like it came far too soon! Kudos and props for a job well done!

John Kilpatrick isn’t too happy about being paired with a ‘squid’, and vampire Wulf Duvall isn’t all that thrilled about being partnered with a ‘meatball’.

But after Midnight Storm, Vampires flock to Milwaukee, renamed Chicago North – Chi-No for short. Vampires are recognized as a people and given legal rights, even jobs in law enforcement.

When killings begin to happen in the vampire slums, Kilpatrick and Vall are sent in to investigate. What they find could start a war: the bottled blood produced to sustain vampires is poisoned!

As Vall gets deeper and deeper into the investigation, everyone is suspect, from his longtime friend to his new love interest, Veronica Main, daughter to Senator Main, who helped arrange the laws and systems by which Vampires live.

Kilpatrick’s world is turned upside down by his wife, who is overcoming her prejudice against vampires, thanks to Vall’s quick action to save her man’s life. For Kilpatrick, this means reconsidering his world in a whole new light.

I loved this book. It was meaty, full of juicy, personal details about the characters that made them seem very real. Ms. Roycraft puts the undead in a very human light. She tackles racism and greed head on, while leaving the reader in complete suspense, living out every word with her characters!

Most excellent! I’m desperately awaiting the sequel, HELL’S WARRIOR.

Cate Greenbush wants a man in her life, but not a male exotic dancer from the Pony Express dance club. But when she lays eyes on Lucius Santangelo, the Italian Stallion, she melts in her seat.

Lucius, better known as Garran Lux, is also a dance teacher at a local studio. He needs his soul retrieved to help keep his hungry inner beast under control, and Cate Greenbush is just the woman to help him do it.

When Cate gets a look at Garran’s spirit body, she wonders if he’s dying. Little does she know that Garran is one of the undead, and Garran wants to keep her in the dark for as long as possible when he finds himself head over heels for the pretty shaman.

Hot, hot, hot!!! Ms. Roycraft’s vampire erotica is tastefully written, but still scorching enough to leave her readers needing a glass of water… or more! Well done! I can’t wait to see more from Ms. Roycraft!

I was impressed with this novel. The idea of a vampire’s spirit body is pure genius – Ms. Roycraft’s signature mark on her work. The forays into the history of both characters is well detailed, building a tantalizing story that draws the reader in. Cate’s “dancing lessons” are inventive, erotic, and make me wish I could get my man to take me dancing!

Alsa needs help. In order to save her village from its greedy neighbors, she decides to seek out a wizard to teach her magic. She gets more than she bargained for!

The wizard Korlen, or Master Korlen, as he tells her to call him, begins teaching her magic in his own strange ways. After he has her clean his home from top to bottom, he begins to put her through exercises to improve her concentration.

Before long, however, Korlen comes calling in the night to collect on his end of the bargain – to get an heir by Alsa. As their time together grows shorter, their relationship builds, and an heir is conceived. But when Alsa asks Korlen to help her defend her village and he refuses, a wedge is driven between them.

After their son is born, Alsa finds that she must go back to Korlen for her safety and that of her son. Will she be able to face Korlen again? Will he accept her with open arms, or hold her at arms length?

Ms. McCullough creates a wonderful fantasy world full of imagery and original ideas. I only wish there had been more time to develop this wonderful story – there were things I wanted to know more about! I was particularly enraptured with the idea of “feeling” the carrot. Never a more humorously serious lesson have I seen given than that!

Well done! I will be keeping an eye on Ms. McCullough for new books, for she has a truly astounding way of writing and wrapping reality into her work to give it a new spin!
