Constantine Vega has been in deep undercover for three long years, infiltrating the drug world to bring down the top drug lord. The time has come to bring him down, putting him away for good. Constantine is set to be the star witness, if he can make it to the stand alive.
Nicole Ward has been burned badly, and not just by love. She began her career as an attorney for her father's firm, one of the best, but when she gets a convicted killer off, only to have him murder another victim, she does what she can to salve her guilt, by quitting her high-paying job to work for the U.S. Attorney. She is determined to put Alvarez away for life. When she agrees to meet her witness, Constantine, she knows it's dangerous, but she never expects to be on the run with him.
LONE STAR SURRENDER was a fast-paced, action packed story, that kept me on my toes while I followed Constantine and Nicole through Texas, as they stayed one-step ahead of their pursuers. The heat that flared between them kept my pages smoking, they allowed their passions to reign over them, though not forgetting the reason they were brought together. I felt a connection to them each right from the start, they were both well thought out characters, each with their own flaws, but able to come together as a perfect pair. I loved how while they ran, they let themselves enjoy the moment, not knowing where it would lead them. It gave them a bit of relief. I liked seeing Constantine and Nicole overcome their fears and grow together as a couple.
Ms. Jones writes both contemporary and paranormal romance with Harlequin, Kensington, Berkley and Pocket. She has also published scorching hot romances with Ellora's Cave. Soon she will be writing for Grand Central Publishing under the pseudonym, Faith Winter.

Amanda Wright knows the sporting world from both the sidelines and a very personal level as well. She once had Olympic dreams until her knee got messed up and took her out of the game. Now Amanda is involved in sports the only way she can be, by writing Newspaper columns. Amanda is now facing the ultimate dream; however there is one catch… Her boss wants her to drag down the only guy who has managed to makes her miss being a woman in a long time.
Brad Rogers is on the Los Angeles Rays, and though he is in the big leagues, he is a good ’ole boy at heart. Brad has been burned by the press before and refuses to give in to this lovely new journalist. Besides, Brad has a secret or two of his own that could make her career and break his into pieces.
Can these two overcome their differences, careers, lives, and bosses to get together or are they a strike out waiting to happen?
Ms. Jones has taken the story of journalism and sports to a new level. I personally do not care for baseball and wanted to see who won. In my book, this story is a Home Run.
